Our enabling career management, redeployment and outplacement solutions; including group, online / virtual, one-to-one, senior and international career coaching, assure successful career transition and provide reassurance to staff navigating periods of personal vulnerability. (Notably; we are pioneers in the UK market – providing access on an as-needed basis to ImaginativeHR-subsidized vocational training via e.g. e.g. LinkedIn Learning, Skillsoft, Udemy, New Skills Academy, etc., where individuals in transition value vocational and CPD learning alongside their core career coaching support).
1) Large scale outplacement (Defense sector, United Kingdom)
Background:
The ImaginativeHR team was engaged by a UK-wide / multi-site, defence sector, client, which was undergoing significant restructuring, to deliver a comprehensive outplacement support service to over 400 staff members across 10 (some very remote) UK locations, who had either taken voluntary redundancy options or who faced compulsory redundancy.
Solution:
Our team delivered a series of group outplacement events / workshops and one-to-one outplacement programmes (calibrated around 2-6 face to face meetings and / or time based support); alongside a dedicated telephone support team, online career transition resources and access to vocational training for staff members with particular / special requirements. Our flexible and comprehensive support options resulted in a (support) take-up rate of over 80% of the individuals impacted by the restructuring; with the majority successfully transitioned into new roles, self-employment, early retirement and / or further education / re-training.
2) Large-scale redeployment (Financial sector, United Kingdom)
Background:
Following a decision to relocate several UK business units (over a period of 18 months), the ImaginativeHR team was engaged by a global financial services sector client, to provide redeployment support to (over 200) members of its IT team; assisting them to network more effectively within the organisation and to identify new opportunities, whilst maintaining staff engagement levels within the team during a challenging period.
Solution:
Our team developed and delivered a series of bespoke facilitated team events focused on raising awareness of internal career development platforms, developing career self-ownership, effective networking, personal branding and interview preparation. Following these team events, we provided monthly (drop-in) one-to-one, career clinics supported by an online FAQ portal. Team morale and engagement were maintained / enhanced during a very challenging 18 month period and the majority of impacted individuals were successfully redeployed across the organisation.
